WORD.

WORD is life.

Words have power. they have meaning, absolute value.

Proverbs have much to say about the power of spoken words.

• Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits.

• A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.

• A gentle tongue is a tree of life, but perverseness in it breaks the spirit.

• A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in a setting of silver.

• Too much talk leads to sin. Be sensible and keep your mouth shut.

This is much bigger when it comes to writing as all writers already know. How many minutes, hours, sometimes even days have you struggled as a writer, or an editor with finding just the right word, that "perfect" word for that particular sentence? Many think that writing is easy, not to be compared with physical workouts. More honestly, although physical workouts are necessary and awesome, they cannot be compared with writing workouts. It's not just frustration, anxiety, stress in finding the right combination of words, but its fighting against those constant voices of doubt in your head that say you don't know what you're saying, that doesn't make sense, that's dumb or stupid, etc. This is pretty much true in all cases whether writing technically. journalistically, for media, professional reports, websites, basic reports, research papers, especially books--fiction or non-fiction.

This is why it's urgent to recognize the power of mind meeting computer keys or pen to paper in the infinite craft of writing. Too often the power, beauty and joy of writing is sacrificed to the grind of getting it right. Let's look at the limitless power of words here in hopes that it will reward you and make you celebrate yourself just for getting up out of bed and meeting the awesome task of WRITING. Take some time and meditate on all that words do.

Words give life. Words heal; they regenerate and restore. Words can turn a tragedy into triumph, sadness into unspeakable joy. Words dispel darkness and can pour light into situations that seemed hopeless and impossible. Words fix broken hearts and they have power to motivate even when we thought we couldn't be or didn't want to be.

Words matter. They encourage. They convict and persuade. Words influence decisions, change minds and transform lives. Words elevate and humble; they make us run and shout and dance right out of our shoes. Words can be right as rain.

Words prophesy; they tell stories ad infinitum that defines humanity and keeps it going forward.

Words write books, fill libraries, churches, houses, mosques, synagogues and temples worldwide.

Words attract; they advertise and maximize, they cut and scrutinize. Words entertain; they imply, insinuate, ingratiate and gratify. Words suggest, recommend, and advise. Words are beautiful, positive, affirming.

Words will make you fall out of your seat lol'ing. Words can be hilarious; they make you smile, crack up and feel good all over. Words, no matter the language or tongue, keep people everywhere connected.

It's who we are--WORD.

Words also kill--they destroy. They condemn. Words bring destruction, devastation and despair;

Words can make you sick and make you want to die. They can break apart, break up, tear up and tear down. They can be mean, hateful, vicious and condescending. Words can be deceitful, cunning, shrewd and tell lies. They are too often arrogant, wicked and evil. Words may be bitter, biting and bullying.

Words discourage, make you give up. Words cause people to go insane,

They can lead to suicide.

Words can and do hurt. They curse; they blaspheme. Words denigrate, demean and degrade. They can poison outlook and opportunity, and darken many a doorstep. Words deliberately downgrade and downsize; they can drown hope and sink courage. Words make fools of the once wise, Ignorant of the once intelligent and stupid of the once knowledgeable. Words can cause death, make people feel they want to die or give up their will to live. Words can cripple and stifle and do much harm.

They cause confusion, delusion, and disillusion.

Words supply the wealthy, make rich people richer and the poor, even poorer. Wrong words spoken out of turn and unexpectedly can cause people to "lose it" and "go off" to places of anger they did not think they were capable of. Words can make sad, depressed and full of regret. They are known to make people liars, thieves and murderers. Words will expose hypocrisy, racism, misogyny, anti-Semitism, Islamophobia, homophobia, who the haters of God really are, as well as the true lovers of God.

Words determine consequences now and later and that's especially why they matter. Word is God. It represents that image in which we were created. His Word is confirmed. This is why Jesus said, "The words I speak to you, they are spirit and they are life.”

Without writing, without words, there is no communication. And without communication, we are nothing and have nothing. Think about it and keep writing whatever you do. See your power. Don't stop. WORD.
